about me

I have been fortunate... to live in such unique places as South Carolina, Alabama, Hawaii, and Korea. It was a remarkable way to grow up, and to experience so many cultures!At 16, I started acting in small plays, including a stint at the Honolulu Theater for Youth, and then found myself the lead in the first musical I ever auditioned for, an original (and frankly terrible) adaptation of CINDERFELLA. I was hooked. I knew this was my vocation for life.I attended Florida State University School of Theater, hopping over to the School of Music for voice lessons, and even joining the chorus of Verdi's FALSTAFF. After earning my BA in Theater, and performing in countless student and local plays from Brit-com to Shakesepearean tragedy, I made the leap to big, busy, and beautiful NYC.I earned my Equity card in my first professional gig - Yeston's PHANTOM at Westchester Broadway Theatre.I played Count Phillipe and understudied Tony-nominee Robert Cuccioli in the lead. In the intervening years, I have had the joy of playing heroes and villains and all the shades in between. I am so proud to have worked with both famous and soon-to-be famous artists, and mainly in leading roles.I love New York City like no other place I have ever lived, and am so grateful every day to call it my home. Though my career takes me far and wide, it is always good to come home to my friends and adopted family, and the city so alive you can feel its pulse and hear it breathing.I also cantor and am a featured soloist at the Church of Saint Monica, where my voice teacher, the incomparable David Schaefer, serves as Choir Master. David is also my dearest friend, my "NYC Dad" and my trusted mentor.I am a very proud member of Actor's Equity Association.
